Community Classes


FALL 2011 EXTENSION CENTER CLASSES

The USU Aggie Village Community Center Classroom is located in the same building as the Aggie Village Laundromat and MASA office.  Enter through the Northwest door.  If you would like to share your talents with others, we invite you to consider teaching a class.  Please call Theresa about teaching classes.  If you are interested in any of the following classes, please contact the individual teacher or Call Theresa Christensen at 797-3277 for more information regarding classes.

ADULT CLASSES

Cooking Better for Less  Are you tired of trying to think of what to cook for dinner?  Come and learn from other homemakers and the Food Sense teachers about new recipes and money saving tips for your family.  A playroom is available so bring the kids!

Better Homes and Families  A class that will cover any topics requested.  Come learn about finances, canning, parenting, organizing, etc.  A playroom is available so bring the kids!

International Wives Club  A fun class for international wives.  Learn about American culture and meet other women from your own country as well as other countries.  Free babysitting is provided.

Sewing/Craft  Do you have a stash of unfinished sewing or craft projects lying around your home? Come finish them.  Would you like to learn to sew?  Come and learn.  Anyone is welcome and a playroom is available for kids.
When:  Wednesdays, 11:30 pm - 2:30 pm starting September 1st
Cost:  Participants provide their own materials.  Sewing machines are available and free to use during class time.

Zumba-  Is a Latin-dance inspired fitness program.  But don’t worry if you’re not a dancer, Zumba is designed for anyone! Zumba has a party-like atmosphere so you won’t even know you are getting a workout.  Come join the party & get into shape.

CHILDREN'S CLASSES

Cloverbuds Preschool Program  For children ages 3½ -5.  We will explore and learn about many different topics.  Outline of topics available.

When:  Mondays, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm or 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm starting September 12th
Cost: $50 for the semester.

Dance (Pre-ballet/creative dance)  Dancers will be exploring creative movement, shapes, levels, locomotors and much more as they become familiar with expression through dance! Classes will run from September 6th or 7th – December 6th or 7th
When: Wednesdays, 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm for ages 5-7;  Cost $42/ semester
            Wednesdays, 10:00 am - 10:45 am for ages 3-4;  Cost $39/semester

Doodle Art Alley-Fine Arts Academy  For children ages 3-5.  Take your child’s creativity for a ride by exploring the magic of Fine Arts, sculpture, painting, photography and much more in this fun filled class.

Toddler time-Come spend time with your toddler and other parents and toddler’s. We will be teaching them fun, educational and developmental activities.
